PRIVACY

Privacy by design, especially for political opinions.

Politangle is designed to collect as little personal data as practical. This notice explains the current product architecture and the information still required before the notice can be treated as final.

Legal status

Legal review pending

Politangle is a project of TSquare Ventures LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. A monitored Politangle privacy contact and the final hosting/transfer details still require confirmation and qualified legal review before public commercial release.

BELIEVE / Quick and Full

Your political answers are used in your browser to calculate your result. The current public architecture does not deliberately attach BELIEVE answers or your political profile to your account.

After a completed first Quick run, a strictly necessary completion cookie can remember only that a first run was completed so that later independent runs can require sign-in. It does not contain your answers or result.

Account data

If you create a free account, the authentication service processes your email address, account identifier, verification state and security/session information. Politangle uses an HTTP-only session cookie to keep you signed in. The current session lifetime is up to five days.

Certification and certificates

For certification, Politangle processes the signed-in account identifier, age-confirmation status, attempt timestamps, served question IDs, submitted answers, scores and certificate records. Certification is available to users who confirm they are at least 18. Certificate purchase information will be processed only when payment is enabled.

School mode

Student classroom participation is designed around temporary identifiers rather than names, email addresses, usernames or roster IDs. Teachers receive class-level totals and distributions, not a student-to-answer map or individual political profile. Real-student use is not currently enabled.

Service providers

The final notice must identify the actual entities, processing locations, transfer mechanisms and processor terms used in production.

  • Netlify — website hosting and deployment
  • Google Firebase — authentication and server-side account/certification records
  • Stripe — certificate payment processing only when checkout is enabled

Cookies and tracking

Current code uses functional cookies for authenticated sessions and for remembering whether the first Quick run was completed. No advertising or analytics tracker is intentionally installed in the current repository. If that changes, this notice and any consent mechanism must be updated before activation.

Retention

The authentication session cookie currently expires after up to five days. The first-Quick completion cookie is currently set for up to one year. Final retention periods for account, certification, payment and support records must be documented before launch and should be no longer than necessary for their stated purpose and legal obligations.

Your rights and contact

Depending on the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and complain to a supervisory authority. The operator is TSquare Ventures LLC at the address stated on the Imprint page. A monitored privacy contact must still be published before launch.
